twitch streaming guideThanks for stopping by! Twitch Streaming Guide is a project maintained by Shawn Farner, content marketer at FAR and tech blogger at GIZJO.

By looking through the content here, you’ll learn how to get your Twitch streaming career started, including:

  • What kind of equipment you’ll need to get started as a streamer
  • Programs and websites that can help you put on the best stream possible
  • Do’s and don’ts of streaming
  • …and much more!

You can do it, but not overnight

One big thing I want to mention — it may be overwhelming to see some of the really big Twitch stars and the thousands of people they attract every time they come online. But it’s important to remember that all of those streamers started at zero followers, and through hard work, dedication, and talent, they grew their audiences to where they are today.

Whether you want to become a full-time streamer or you’re doing it as a hobby, you’ll need to put in work to grow your Twitch channel, too. But you have the same opportunity as everyone else, and that’s something really special.

Now what?

Check out the rest of the Twitch Streaming Guide site! Personally, I think you should start with our guide, which starts with finding a Twitch streaming PC. But if you have an Xbox One or a PlayStation 4, you already have the capability to stream your games built right into the console! Before you drop some dough on equipment, practice streaming from your console and see if this is a path you really want to follow.

Also — feel free to email me if you have questions or tips you’d like to share with everyone. I can be reached on Twitter — @shawn — as well as via email (shawn at gizjo dot com).

Thanks for visiting… I hope I get to catch your stream soon!
